New drive forward for hybrid power!

The Team at VoltSport are really pleased to be supporting this exciting project, which has been featured in the November edition of Towpath Talk!

We are big believers that the future of boating doesn't have to mean replacing everything we've already got.

There are thousands of perfectly good diesel engines still in use, and finding ways to make them cleaner, quieter and more efficient without throwing away perfectly serviceable equipment makes so much sense.

This project, led by Jonathan Mosse, is exploring exactly that, bringing together traditional diesel engineering and modern electric propulsion to create an inline hybrid solution for narrowboats.

For the team, this is what innovation should be about. Not always reinventing the wheel, but looking at what we already have and finding smarter ways to make it work for the future.

It's great to be involved in a project that brings together heritage engineering, sustainability and electrification, three things we are genuinely passionate about.
