The Bosch Rexroth eLION range is a scalable, modular high-voltage and low-voltage electrification platform built for off-highway mobile working machines like construction, agricultural, and forestry vehicles. It covers power outputs from 20 kW to 230 kW (with peak power up to 400 kW) and features robust protection up to IP6K9K. The eLION range is designed with integrated functional safety, and engineered for enhanced productivity and performance.
Built for the toughest off-highway environments, the Bosch Rexroth eLION Inverter EDS1 delivers reliable, high-performance electric drivetrain control for diesel-electric, hybrid, and fully electric mobile machinery. Designed with a rugged heavy-duty construction, the inverter offers up to IP6K9K protection, resistance to 50 g shock and 6.0 g vibration, and advanced functional safety features, making it ideal for demanding applications in construction, agriculture, mining, and material handling equipment.
The EDS1 combines powerful performance with intelligent connectivity through CAN J1939 communication, enabling efficient system integration, diagnostics, and machine-to-machine communication. Its quick-lock connector system simplifies installation and maintenance while ensuring secure and error-free connections in the field.
Engineered for high productivity, the inverter provides an overload capability of up to 2.5 times nominal operating current, supporting demanding duty cycles and peak load conditions. Available with nominal current ratings of 80 A, 160 A, and 300 A, and operating across a wide 270 to 800 V DC voltage range, it can power electric motors up to 200 kW.
Safety is integrated at the core of the design, with compliance to ISO 13849, ISO 25119, and ISO 19014, supporting machine safety functions up to Performance Level d (PL d). Features such as Safe Torque Off, Safe Communication, Safe Speed, Safe Torque monitoring, motor phase short-circuit protection, and high-voltage interlocks help ensure safe and dependable machine operation.
