Motor Pairing Considerations

Most customers speak to us before purchasing to ensure compatibility with:

  • Load profile: Is the motor driving a constant load, variable load, or shock loads?
  • Duty cycle: Continuous vs intermittent use, peak vs average power demand.
  • Environment: Marine (corrosion, humidity), agriculture (dust, mud), motorsport (heat, vibration).
  • Power/torque curve (does the motor deliver the torque at the speed you need?).
  • Cooling requirements (air vs liquid cooled, ventilation needs).

Use this service if you would like us to clone your previous controller so it can be plugged in to your application/system as a replacement.

Previous controller to be cloned must still be able to be turned on in order to have an exact clone. The controller has a DCF - Device Configuration File, which we can retrieve and load onto your new controller. In some cases, we may have an offline file - but this entirely depends on whether we were your original supplier or this is a common setup.

When adding this service, send us the controller reference and a relevant order number (as in, have you purchased this from us or someone else?).

Does it come with a warranty?

Yes most products have a standard warranty, motors and controllers have extended warranty; used or second-hand products will not have warranty, but your purchase will still be protected. We would never sell you a product we have not inspected ourselves.

What happens if I don't like it?

If you are facing technical issues, let us help you first. We know how tricky it can be with wires, pins and complicated tools so let us see if we can figure it out first. In the chance that your product is defective, then you can use our returns process.

Items can also be collected from our facilities, but please advise us when you want to collect and access to forklift truck etc.
